Baking Wellness offers a unique baking program designed specifically for youth ages 11-14. Baking has been shown to have numerous mental health benefits and our program aims to provide a safe and supportive environment where youth can learn new skills, build confidence, and connect with others. Through the art of baking, we help young people express themselves creatively and develop important life skills.

Our Program

Baking Wellness offers after-school baking cohorts and camps where participants gain practical skills and a foundation for long term well-being and success.

Upcoming Sessions: Now Enrolling!

  • Fall Cohort 2026, Session 1: Baking Essentials

    Come learn new skills and techniques in this 7-week baking cohort! From pies to yeasted doughs, we explore how baking can serve as a healthy outlet for stress and creativity.

    Please note, students enrolled in Session 1 are encouraged to register for Session 2.

    When: Wednesdays, September 9th - October 21st (7 lessons)

    Who: Grades 6-8 (Middle School Bakers)

    Time: 4:00-6:00PM

    Location: Piedmont Memorial/Veterans’ Hall

    Enrollment Fee: $550 residents, $580 non residents

  • Fall Cohort 2026, Session 2: Global Sweet Treats

    This 5-week cohort explores baked goods from around the world! Each class will feature a baked good from another country, introducing new flavors, ingredients, and baking techniques.

    Please note, students who enrolled in Session 1 are encouraged to register for Session 2.

    When: Wednesdays, November 4th - December 16th (5 lessons) *no class 11/11 and 11/25

    Who: Grades 6-8 (Middle School Bakers)

    Time: 4:00-6:00PM

    Location: Piedmont Memorial/Veterans’ Hall

    Enrollment Fee: $430 residents, $460 non residents

  • Thanksgiving Break: Youth Baking Camp!

    Need something to do over Thanksgiving break? During this camp, participants will learn a variety of recipes and bring home baked goods to share :) Come relax and have fun in the kitchen over break!

    When: Monday-Wednesday, November 23rd-25th (3 days)

    Who: Grades 6-8 (Middle School Bakers)

    Time: 10:00AM-1:00PM

    Location: Piedmont Memorial/Veterans’ Hall

    Enrollment Fee: $405 residents, $435 non residents
