The following offers links and resources for youth seeking mental health support.

  • This campaign was launched in 2024 by the CA Department of Public Health to help reduce self-harm and suicidal ideation amongst teens. It offers direct links for support and suggestions on how to navigate difficult conversations.

  • This organization aims to reduce the stigma and discrimination surrounding mental health conditions. Their resource page offers educational descriptions of mental health and specific supports for targeted populations (ie: LGBTQIA, BIPOC, etc.).

  • Crisis hotlines and other mental health support resources are listed for both youth and their families, friends, or caregivers.

  • For youth in Piedmont and Oakland seeking mental health support, several local clinics and programs provide specialized care. Here are some options:

    1. La Clinica de la Raza offers school-site and community behavioral health services including therapy and case management.

    2. UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland provides pediatric and adolescent mental health care and crisis intervention.

    3. Youth UpRising in East Oakland operates an adolescent health clinic, offering mental health support and wellness resources.

    4. Oakland and Piedmont Unified School Districts offer on-site clinical or wellness appointments- check their websites or ask a staff person for information on accessing these services.
